Tired of vampire love stories? Find yourself a copy of the obscure 2001 film the Forsaken about a guy who picks up a hitchhiker and finds himself in a huge mess in the desert. It's more realistic than most vampire hunter flicks and the added desert madmen element adds a little extra oomph to it all. I pulled it out for the first time in years and showed it to my friend and he loved it. Here's the trailer, which is pretty good but not great.
